We’re all familiar with acoustic wall panels. Most people making these, staple the wooden slats onto the felt. This is labour intensive and time consuming. We experimented with our PUR-hotmelt gluing line, and discovered that using glue works really well and has a lot of advantages compared to using staples. The acoustic wall panels become more solid and rigid, because the slats are fixed over the entire width of the slats, curved walls won’t create gaps under the edges of the slats. Since you can work in line, you can produce constantly.

The number and type of brushes (steel, bronze, Tinex) primarily determine whether a light or deep texture is achieved. Additional factors such as rotation direction, speed, pressure, and oscillation also influence the final result.

Making panels is quick and easy with a PUR gluing machine and roller press. First, a strong layer of glue is evenly spread over the panels. When the toplayer is placed onto the panel, it will go through the roller press that presses everything together, creating a long lasting bond.
